Junk Yard Wars
I came across this picture tonight as I was searching through my photo albums for a presentation I'm doing on Tuesday. It was taken the day all of our equipment was moved from Brookvale to the new farm. It struck me funny that sitting there on that truck was all our farm equipment that we use and really appreciate and I'm sure to many folks seeing that truck driving down the road that day thought "what a load of junk". I guess its true what they say, one person's junk is another person's treasures!!
My yearly seed inventory was all completed last week and I'm about 75% done of my seed order. I've been really busy at the ski park this winter but I've been taking the boys to the baby sitter every Tuesday all winter to try and focus on farm paper work which has helped to focus on tasks that really need to get done.
2012 Inventory
Derek and I are really looking forward to getting away to Nova Scotia for a two day greenhouse seminar in a few weeks. We have not been away from the boys since they were born and luckily my Mom has agreed to baby-sit, thanks Mom!!! Our greenhouse is still pretty mucky inside but its drying up every day. I will be starting my leeks, onions, parsley, celery, celeriac and a few others in two weeks in the basement under lights and then hopefully by the end of March most of them will be able to make the big move to the greenhouse!! No worries this year about running out of room.
It seems crazy that its coming on to the end of February already!!! Where does the time go.
